The House prevails again in its bid for ultimate power over American citizens. According to reports, the House defeated opponents of the NSA spy program by a narrow 12 votes that nearly prevented the program from continuing. Newser notes that the Michigan Rep. Justin Amash reportedly footed a bill that would have prevented ‘mass collection’ and limited the data gathering only to citizens whom are currently under investigation.
The program, which was first revealed to the public by Edward Snowden has been under mass scrutiny in previous weeks as a battle to have Edward Snowden returned to the United States rages on.
